The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run – worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars.”  (New York Post, April 27, 2005).

Nicknamed the Steviesfor the Greek word “crowned,” winners were announced during ceremonies at New York’s Marriott Marquis Hotel. More than 180 nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S. and several other countries attended.

In winning the Stevie, Hollister Inc. beat out other finalists including Gulf Bank Corporate Banking Group, The Judgement Group, and VMD Systems Integrators. Kip Hollister, CEO, was presented the Stevie by presenter Carolyn Kepcher.

Stevie Awards were presented in 34 categories including Best Entrepreneur, Best Executive, Lifetime Achievement, and Women Helping Women. More than 600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration.

Over nearly two decades since transforming her business plan into a company founded on the principles of honesty, integrity and strategic client relationships, Kip has evolved Hollister, which she still owns today, into a full-service recruiting firm for many of New England’s leading companies. Her focus on expanding the firm’s capabilities to meet the changing needs of its clients highlights her fearless embrace of innovation to ensure an enduring competitive advantage in the staffing industry.

Kip earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from the University of Vermont and Susquehanna University in 1984.
